Carolina State of Mind
We did a style shoot a while back...well technically three in one day. But one of those three was titled Carolina State of Mind. It was a lovely Nautical theme where for all of the printed materials we used paper bag, yellow, Carolina blue and white card stock. We printed in a darker navy blue. The best part of all of the printed items was the added twine that was wrapped around each piece. It was a great thickness to allow the top pieces to look as though they were floating above the rest. We did an invitation set, thank you signs, menus, a table number and escort cards. We are very much in love with all of these items!! You can view the entire album HERE.
Many thanks to the following amazing vendors:
Enjoy!!

Pretti-otic
We just wanted to say thank you for
allowing us to be part of another wonderful styled shoot put together by
Lisa Crates Photography and RoShel Events. It was a blast as always
working with our great vendor friends... Skys the Limit! Custom Cakes and more (cake), MAKE ME BY JOYA (make-up and hair), eXtravaganza -
Events and Props (linens), Bridal Flavors (shared paper spotlight) and the amazing
models!!
For this shoot we used a shimmer navy card stock, matte red card stock and printed in black on white matte card stock. Everything was embellished with a gorgeous red satin ribbon bow and crystal accent. We did His Bride/Her Groom Signs, a square pocketfold invitation, tented fruit/water signs, menus, a table number, place cards and Thank You Signs.
Here we present out Pretty version of Patriotic...Pretti-otic!!

Melissa & Zach ~ 3.17.12
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Ya we realize we are slow to catch up on blogging from everything we have done this year but you have to notice the effort...maybe?!!? Well back ON St. Patty's Day was the ever so elegant wedding of Melissa and Zach. With most of our couples grooms tend not be be very involved in the invitation process...with these guys it couldn't have been more opposite! Zach was completely involved in the process and had lot's of great ideas. With both of them so eager to plan the wedding you can see why it was so fabulous!! They were married at Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte and continued the celebration at Carmel Country Club.
Carmel Country Club is pretty well known for their lanterns throughout the property. Melissa & Zach really wanted to incorporate this without being too over the top. We started out with a three layered Save the Date. A textured blue, shimmer mint green and a matte white top layer. We printed it in both black and blue raised (thermography) printing. The invitation we kept with the same idea but switched it up to a horizontal style invite. It included an rsvp as well as an additional information card. We also custom lined the inner envelopes with the great shimmer mint green and printed all of their guest names/addresses. Beyond the invitation we did their table numbers, ceremony programs, thank you card, some additional reception signage and the touch of St. Patrick's Day....4 Leaf Clovers as the escort cards. They put them on champagne glasses filled with Guinness...AWESOME!

Bippity, Boppity, Boo!
So it was Princess Ella's 5th Birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a more grown up Cinderella!! At the request of Ella's mom Jessica (who by the way we LOVE) we changed up our traditional Cinderella printable party set to be just that...more grown up!! This family is so great and they just love to throw amazingly styled parties. To be honest I wish they lived closer! But that is why these printable sets are so great. We look forward to Troy's Pirate Party and Violet's Storybook Party!! Here are some photos from the Cinderella Birthday, but to see the entire album visit our facebook page HERE. Enjoy!

The "New" DG Invites
For all of our friends, family, colleagues, past, current and future clients we have some exciting news in store!! For those that know over the years we have struggled with our identity. A name change, multiple websites, multiple logo designs, swirls, no swirls, patterns, no patterns...we have kind of been all over the place. After the name change to DG Invites that is about the only thing that has remained true to us. Currently we have in the works a new website which will lead to our slightly revised logo, a new look for the blog, a new look for facebook and lot's of new marketing and printed materials to pull it all together. We are attempting to have this all pulled together sooner than later...but just to keep you on the edge of your seat we decided to let news of the evolved cat out of the bag! We realize as time goes on styles change, people change...so I am sure this won't be the last time you hear of adjustments to DG Invites...we just hope this one sticks around for awhile!! At least longer than the latest trends in wedding invitations! Stay tuned....
